Danny Berry, Senior Principal Plastics Engineer and Technical Fellow has been applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) concepts at Medtronic for 18 years on various product lines. Prior to joining Medtronic practical knowledge was gained working for a plastics injection molder for 5 years where his responsibilities included evaluating part design for manufacturability and modifying the part design to make robust tooling while also evaluating the costing of the parts and tooling and then implementing this feedback into production. Danny also has a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and a Master of Science in Plastics Engineering from UMASS Lowell. While at RIT, Danny gained diversified experience through the Cooperative Education program where he worked for Arrow International (catheters), Raymond Corporation (forklift trucks), Xerox Corporation (business machines), and the US Navy.
