Established metal printing techniques can only print a few cubic feet at most, but new technology promises to print many tens or even hundreds of cubic feet in the future. Large scale metal AM can heavily affect the way automotive, aerospace, construction, and appliance industries manufacture parts and tooling as well as how long term part inventories are maintained. This session will focus on the current state of the art of large-scale metal AM and addresses how this new technology will impact industrial applications.
